Innovargalgue - Goëmar

The Innov Argalgue project led by the Goëmar company was accredited by the Valorial competitive cluster on 5th April 2007.
The aim of the project is to increase the competitiveness of the fruit and vegetable sector in the face of demand for healthy food by introducing innovative production methods. The project hopes to design new plant protection products and check their efficacy, initially in a controlled environment then in the field. The intention is to test the efficacy of modified clays and natural substances extracted from algae, on their own or in combination. Both types of "soil" are designed for plant protection. The crops selected are very significant in economic terms viz. tomatoes, cucumbers, grapes and apples.
Studies showing the safety of the products will be carried out, based on the requirements for European accreditation.
Saint-Malo Agglomération is adding a grant of 60,147 € for this project.
